The Oboe
The Oboe is a double reed Woodwind instrument. More shrill in tone compared to the Clarinet, the Oboe was a very popular instrument in the 17th Century before the Clarinet was invented. Although still a member of the Orchestra today, not as many young people learn Oboe as many of the other orchestral instruments.
